That would really suck if you missed a turn and drove into the water!

ha ha.....ya........pic is kinda deceiving........course is never "aimed" toward the water and there is quite a bit of beach before the water......but i heard several years ago, someone made it to the sand and had to be towed out

    Great pic. Looks like fun.

I attended a HDPE event last week. There was an '05 V6 there. Kinda surprised me. They had it out fitted with racing slicks. The kid driving was pretty good. I was surprised at how well the car did. The kid really hauled ass.

They flogged the **** out of the '05. Come to find out the it was a rental.

    Here's a pic of the V6

Hey 2003gt how often do they do that race and where exactly in Va. Beach is it held. I'm in the Richmond area I was wondering if was worth the drive down I- 64.
The picture's look great. You did not waste any time having a little fun did you. You don't even have a county sticker yet. :nice:

ha ha...nope, couldn't wait to see what she could do.........

we have some other places we race at, and they, I don't think, are worth your trip, but the next event at the location, the little creek amphibious base is definately worth it !!!

the next event here, is not until october 16th, but if you would want to try to make it, I would love for a fellow stang driver to come down, right now i'm the only one......(my dad will have his car probably by then)

So the next event is OCT. 16 at the base you mentioned? If it is I might try to make it on that Sunday.

    Hey 2003GT

Great photos of the 05 in action.

I have an 01 GT that I have modified into an opentrack/auto-x car myself. I'm from Orange County (CA) and run with NASA (national auto sports association) in So. Cal.

I also have an 87 Porsche 944 NA 5 spd that I run with PCA (Porsche Club Of America) San Diego, CA region. Opentrack/auto-x that one too.

In Dec the PCA has an end of year bring your other car auto-x just for fun no points. I'm going to bring my 05 GT (Sonic Blue) to that auto-x and try her out for the first time. I have Eibach pro-kit, Tokico D-Spec adjustable shocks all four adjust from soft to firm. I'm on 18' Boyd Cottington's wrapped in BF Goodrich KDW.

I'll try and post some pictures of the 01 & 87 in action on some of So. Cal. road courses I have taken from this years season.

    FUN,FUN,FUN

    Hey 2003 GT

If your still wondering the boards as promised here is a photo of my 01 GT at an opentrack event at Buttonwillow Raceway in Bakersfield, CA last November 2004.

Click on the photo to enlarge it.

These opentrack events are a great way to learn the limits of you and your car.

    Take Care
