Hello everyone. I just bought an '01 Cobra and I love it. My question is does anyone know of a good shop locally in the San Francisco Bay Area that specializes in late model Mustangs?? I lived in Vallejo, so I can either go somewhere in teh Bay Area or head up to Sacramento. Any input from you local members would be great.

    Thanks,
    Todd

Apex did go out of business, thank god, but one of the owners opened a new shop called TPS. Do not go there. :nonono: There was a reason Apex went out of business. Long story behind them however.

Now to the good shops. I still have not heard one bad thing about AED. I have seen alot of stuff that they have done, and they are great:nice:

Dynotuning.com i have heard good things as well from them. Either dynotuning.com or AED will be doing my tuning, not sure who yet.

Those are really the only two shops that i will let do any work on my car. I have been screwed too many times by other shops.

Why did apex go out of business? I never got good story as to why? reason I ask is because I was acually refered to that place when I was looking for a shop to tune my car.

To the OP. There is a shop in modesto called RRT. Its kind of a start up but one of the guys there tuned my car. I depending on what kind of stuff you are looking at I could give you some contact info. I highly recomend the dyno guy Will.

They went out of business because they kept losing customers. Mike Mak was the owner for a while, and just kept dragging the company down. :nonono: Blew up a few cars of people I knew, lied about parts that were being installed on cars, and it took usually 3-4 times longer to things that it should or time it was quoted. :nono:

Steven bought the company to try to bring it back up. He was a really good guy, but Mike basically F***ed the company so bad it was beyond fixing. Steven had no choice but to shut it down.

About 2 months ago, Mike started another company. TPS. I doubt his business practices have changed, so I will steer clear of him and his companies. I just hate seeing fellow mustang owners being put threw the **** I and others were put threw.

    Advanced Engine Development (916) 275-8212

These are the guys that im going to when i have enough cash to get a custom dyno tune. It's either 400-500 wiht the use of an a/f ratio meter. Best guys around town in the bay i think. Heard a lot of good stuff about them.
