Hey guys, just picked up my car from Midnight Performance in Rancho Cordova, and I must say, it feels like a different car. The difference between the stock 3.27s and 4.10s is night and day. The thing just absolutely pulls now, and 5th gear is so much more useful. I'm in love with it.

Now the second part, I guess the nearby Scion dealership had picked up a highly modified tC and sent it to Midnight so they could return it to stock. I noticed a racing seat in it, and asked if I could buy it off them. When they told me the price for it, my face went . Here's the seat in my car after they made the custom bracket for it to fit:

Bride VIOS III Low Max with the Low Max sliding seat rail. I know it's weird seeing a JDM seat in a Mustang, but I absolutely love the look and feel of it. It's a fixed back, so I'm always in a perfect and optimal position. Taking turns is so much more fun. Also, it seems to be pretty unique as I have never come across a Mustang equipped with Brides. In terms of price, they go for $800-$1100 new (from what I've seen), and the Low Max rail alone is around $250. Here's the kicker... I got the seat AND rail for $250! I could not pass this up. To top it off, VIOS III (made from fiberglass) is wayyyy lighter than the stock power seat.

I've always loved my car, but now I'm even more in love with it. Looking forward to seeing what you guys think about this. :D

That is a deal. Personally though I like reclining seats better. I loved it when I got my 4.10s.

3.27s are what i have also, but I just put the stang away yesterday for winter and when I bring it out in the spring it will have 4.10's in it. As for the racing seat.....are they really that comfortable or make a difference?

Congrats bro, that seat is pretty sick, but I dunno if I could do a seat that doesn't recline at all... BTW, you were in my neck of the woods today, I live about 15 minutes from Rancho. What made you go to midnight performance of all places? Not that there is anything wrong with them, but I thought they only really worked on imports, plus its quite a strike from Walnut Creek? I did a dyno pull there once though & the owner is a pretty cool cat.

I'm up in Sac now for school, so Rancho wasn't too far away. I know the people who run it through my buddy who has an Integra and has been a customer there for a while. The ownership got passes onto Andre now, and he's going to start working on Mustangs and other domestics. He's actually really into our kinda cars, but the previous owner directed it more towards imports. Andre wants to change that though. They're a good group of guys and do great work. :)

Yeah, Andre is the black dude, Warren is the Asian guy.

And yeah, I'm up at Sac State. I've always wondered why I never see your car around lol.

Congrats man. Sounds like a good score on the seat. For $250 who cares if it reclines, ya know. If at some point you decide you want a reclining version, you can always sell this one for a lot more.

Ok, I remember Andre now. What part of Sac are you living in? I am in the south area of town near Elk Grove. You probably never see my car around because I drive my DD 90% of the time. Next time we set up a meet I will shoot you a PM.

Wow... thanks a lot man. I know it might not be the craziest Stang in the world, but it feels good hearing that because I've put a lot of work into the car and have made sure to not half-ass anything. Everything I have on the car is exactly what I wanted, from the wheels to the exhaust to even the battery. I can't wait till my Termi front bumper arrives so I can claybar/buff/wax the car and take some more pics. :nice:
