I have a Diablosport Predator tuner (good deal on ebay couldnt pass it up, $190) Works great, running the 93 Octane tune.

Now I'm looking for a CAI, which in itself isnt a big deal I know the good ones out there. Thinking C&L or JLT, but what Im unsure about is the tune once I install the CAI, Is there anyone that gives out a downloadable tune, or sells one if I buy the CAI from them.

I know this generally happens if you buy a combo. But i just need the CAI and tune for my predator.

Surely this isnt that uncommon that someone already has a tuner before they have a CAI?

Anyone care to point me to someone that can help, looking to pick up a CAI tomorrow.

    Thanks!

get your C&L from rpmoutlet.com and then contact the C&L guys and they'll email you a tune............unless you want to have it tuned at a shop.... my works just fine with a canned tuen ...............theres defiently a difference you can feel even with the canned tune

I would consider going with a custom tune. I ordered my JLTII and SCT combo directly from JLT and used the canned tune. Later when I had a custom tune done I gained 17HP at the peak and 24lbs/ft at the top of the band. Some others may have a different experience but I got more gain from the custom tune than I did from the CAI and canned tune combined.

Do a 'search' for 'Novice CAI install' I have my numbers in there for a JLT II CAI with a dyno tune. I was pleased with the results!

For the Predator go with www.DTPRacing.com, they do custom tunes for the Diablosport and C&L or JLT. They charge $100 for two tunes(91&93) or $75 for one tune. Good luck

<-- JasonBR's lil bro (aka the brother who turns wrenches) :p

Hey guys, I have a quick question about the "custom tune" I assume you just mean going to a dyno and tweaking the fuel to get the correct A/F ratio back into spec with the programer? If that's all that is needed I think i got him covered.

I have a feeling I'm going to be working on this car more than him. :bang:

I'll check with Diablo about getting the custom tunes done for my Tunable Induction systems.
I was originally going with Diablo until both my dyno tuners recommended going with SCT. I've not regretted this with GREAT tech support from SCT and no std. tune problems for a year now and no unresolved custom tune problems.
With giving free tuner support it's also been nice dealing with just one company.

In the meantime I'd be happy to give you a combo @ dealer cost offsetting quite a chunk of your tuner expense with going with the Xcal2 instead. You'd probably get most of the money back reselling the Predator.

Email me at the business email if interested: tunableinduction@yahoo.com

I'll post if I can get the Diablo tunes done.

Hey there J DeMolet ! Ive always been a lurker on this board but finally joined today. I recently bought a 2005 Mustang GT. Im looking to do some tuning upgrades, etc. I just read this post about getting dealer price on a combo of SCT Xcal2 and JLT II CAI. Would you be willing to pass this on to me as well ? If so, what would the cost be ? Im also sending an email to the biz email you listed. Thanks

Thanks for the interest in the 2 top CAI's on the market. JLT & C&L came in the top 2 in the 5.0 magazine CAI shootout in the Jan. issue.:nice: We are honored to be held in great company and even out hp'ing them all in the test.

As somone said, www.DTPracing.com has a Diablo tune for the JLT that they can email you.
    You will not regreat it.

Also, we will price match our top HP producing JLT Series II against any other intakes advertised price.

Get the kit with the quatily custom paint to match your car and super strong billet MAF housing, not a pipe wraped in a carbon fiber sticker and held together with screws.:rlaugh:
