Hey guys i heard that you can take the exhaust off a GT mustang and mount it on a V6, well my when installing a GT take off do the Cats have to go? or will a Pacesetter adapter be good so the cats dont have to be taken off is so how is this process done?

If using a GT takeoff you can leave your stock cats in place, and cut your midpipe just behind the cats to weld the pacesetter adaper in place. Note that a GT takeoff typically includes the catback only because the GT midpipe will not fit a V6 model without some modification.
