GT Vert 18" vs Optional 19" Rims

I have a 2010 GT Vert Premium with 5k miles that I bought used with the optional 19" factory rims...rides a bit harsh over less-than-smooth roads compared to my previous GT Verts.

Rather than screw around with different shock/strut upgrades (which from my experience with Tokico D-Specs and Bilsteins will make the ride firmer yet), I'm thinking of swapping to factory 18" rims and more sidewall rubber.

Anybody check the GT ride difference between 18" & 19" rims when buying their GT, whether with the 4.6 or the 5.0? I'd appreciate your comments.

Thanks.

I started out with the 19's on my 2011 coupe. As you know the choices of tires and wheels are some what limited. I dropped down to 18's and got the tires and wheels I wanted, more sidewall rubber to keep the ride hight/speedo correct and no longer worry about all those pot holes as with the 19's. I did go 255 F/285R so there was no weight savings to the deal! Lowered it with Eibachs and now it's done. Ride quality, its a sports car!!
