GT Planet is insane in that how much leverage that website has on the Gran Turismo franchise, I think very few games can attest to having running changes based on one fan site.
I still play, like lvl 35 a-spec and just lvl 40'd b-spec and finished the endurance races with B-spec Bob. Haven't really dicked around online racing though at all.
I had the misfortune of my my PS3 locking up while exiting an online race tonight which corrupted my save data. Fortunately, I had backed-up my save back around April. Unfortunately, this puts me back to level 38 in B-Spec and I have to race the 24 hours of Nurburgring again once I unlock it. . . again. Probably what bums me out more is I have lost about 400 to 500 cars, going from 1285 to about 770. Worst off is the rubber band automatic driving trick no longer works as effective, so rebuilding that number is going to take a fair while. If you don't know already, you can back-up any of your game saves onto a USB stick. I would recommend doing that every now and then and even saving it onto your computer or a portable hard drive.
I haven't played GT5 in months. I don't have anything good left to play on A-spec that won't take more time than I care to invest, my B spec drivers are worthless and I hate B spec anyway, and online is a joke because people just screw around. Meh. I have been playing Medal of Honor online a lot lately, go figure.
And here it comes. GT5 Spec 2.0 & DLC Details: Standard Car Interiors, Replay Controls, New Cars, New Tracks, & More
That is true. I really never heard much about Dead Island, and after seeing it I started digging on youtube. Ended up buying it the day after it released, really great game. For a game without much hype it was pretty good
You do realize that you just commented on another comment from over 2 years ago that has absolutely nothing to do with what's being discussed here right now, right?
Well f**k me, that 9 hour race was long! The problem with that one is that the track is short and thereby boring after a while. I finished it few days ago and last night I started first 24h endurance race. Being able to save sure is nice.
Anyone still playing this game? I have BF3 and I seem to enjoy GT5 a lot lately. I haven't even played BF3 online yet, just playing the campaign. I just finished the 24 hours of Le Mans. It was fun to say the least. It took me about two weeks though
