Me thinks by the looks of the motor and the thread on the corral you got HOSED. I would be loading up that pos and dropping it on his head. Good luck with the whole situation I hope it works out in the end for ya.

My gut tells me that this guy is blowing smoke up your... you know what. I already read that the rockers aren't what they were told to be, and if the other things turn out to be the same as well you should have a solid case for going to the local authorities. I'm sure this will work out for you in the end, but you probably have a decent headache coming. Good luck man, keep us informed.

i knew it..... if he wont return your money then take it to the authorities and make sure you let him know that... well now you have been burned once you will learn from your mistakes...my dad just recently got burned on a 92 mustang...so point is dont trust anyone and make sure you look into things really good before you purchase anything.... i think you will have a hard time in court with this if it goes that far...because when you bought the motor he said it was a 302 right....did he ever say it ran great or anything?? what all did you find out was crap on the motor??
as of right now people said the roller rockers are not crane 1.6's as he stated... he also said it has forged pistons... which isnt hard to check... he told me but it wasnt in the post that it was a fresh hone with 0 miles on it... that wont be hard to check for either... in the post he said it was an e-cam.... but then when i was loading it in to the truck i asked him about it... and he said it was a comp cam close to an e cam.... ive also tracked his old e-mail for the account he scamed that guy on the fox body on... and cam up with a myspace account... its the right guy... i have his full name and cell phone number and house number... and i print screened all his posts just incase this goes bad and he deleates them...
good thinking my bet would be this motor is no different now you have some printed proof...make doubles and take them with you when you go to get your cash back...that way if he wigs on you and tries to rip them up you have a safe set...i would surely be doing something about this and you seem to be on top of this pretty well up to now....with his address he cant really run and hide so you have him in a pretty good spot right now....how old was the guy you bought it from??? so far the engine size was a lie the rockers was a lie the re gasketed engine was the intake so you not getting that and telling you it was regasketed was a lie the cam he said it has was a lie the internals are more then likely going to be a lie as well... you have enough evidence to procacute him he lied about almot everything you know to be true about the engine besides what you cant see and you will soon know if its a fully bogus motor.
