I just ordered PLX Devices M-300 WB and i going to install this weekend , i know there is some "how to do it" by Daren Woodall , but i was wandering does anyone else have some better infos
Like does EGR valve have to be in 100% working order , or can i just have EGR valve without EGR tube connected from header to EGR, ( i don't like run with EGR)

The hook up has nothing to do with the egr valve.

You just use its input to the pcm for your wide band analog output.

You then pick the egr as one of your 16 items for your payload.

The actual wideband goes into one of the stock O2 sensor locations right? Then you hook the harness into the EGR harness? I need to get one soon, twEECer RT should be in tomorrow.

I think most people people get a new bung welded in and then run their stock 02s and then just use the wide band for tuning. But you can go in the tweecer and tell the comp through the tweecer that there is only one 02.

Yes you can do that, but you will need both O2s to run on closed loop
Thats why i gonna weld new bung, BTW in AutoZone i find "spark plug non fauler" and that will work like bung , cost 3.99-5.99 (comes with two)and you will have to get 18mm ones

I had a bung put in each lt collector so I could see each side.

Hardly any difference between sides can be seen in the dataloggs btw.

Did you have two WB O2s or just one m if two , you probably use On-Off-On switch to switch from one to another

I just have one wb sensor Ernie.

I wanted to be able to look at each side so I installed things so I could switch sides with ease. :nice:

You can get a plug for the unused side at the same place you buy your bungs and get them installed.

I do have the egr input wire to the pcm on a switch for a either or function of, egr or wb. Makes it easy for me when the state of Texas emissions testing time comes around each year. :D

I have read manual about M-300 installation , but i can't understand four things

    Where white wire goes
    Where Gray wire goes
Why i have to connect ground (black) wire close to devices ground ???
And how and where i have to install those Noise Filtering Capacitors

Here is manual from their site http://plxdevices.com/InstallationInstructions/M-200_250_300PlugPlay_Install.pdf

I have to figure out this by tomorrow
