I switched my 65 headlights to the Tr-Bar Halogens. When I go to brights the breaker over heats in a few minutes and they shut off until it cools. That makes for exciting night driving.
Has anyone added a headlight relay? I would appreciate suggestions, schematics or where to buy a kit.

The one from Summit isn't bad just make sure you get the correct one. The instructions aren't that good though. There's a post on how to install them.
My advice is to work from the right side of the car to the left hooking stuff up as you go along.

Here is a diagram from a previous post:

I bought a bunch of relays from ebay. Ithink they came out to about $2.00 each. They came with the plug and leads with terminals.

I wired everything up and put them behind the driver side headlight bucket. (I also have a third relay for the fog lights)

You can do a search and find more diagrams and info on this subject.
