    Hi Guys,
I have been a fan of the Ford Mustang for over 30 years now, I have restored several classic mustangs, ranging from 1965-1973 and have already put down a deposit on one of the very first 2008 Shelbys! Recently, I have been been fortunate enough, to have become afiliated with a very high profile and reputable carbon fiber manufacturing company. This company makes aftermarket carbon fiber automotive components such as spoilers, body parts, splitters, dams, etc. for many other popular makes and models. I am looking for feedback from my fellow 2005 and up mustanger's, in terms of what carbon fiber items you'd like to see manufactured for the 2005 and up ponies. I'll do my best to try to make requests a reality!

I would say anything under the hood that would be cosmetic would be nice...maybe the engine cover in cf???? I would definitely think of getting a cf tonneau cover... (If it was two piece of course)

CF CAI Kit, based off one or more of the popular CAI kits. Tube and air box made of CF

    Rear deck lid

    Hood

    Chin spoiler

Taken from my off road back ground......... A CF skid plate. Once lowered, the S197 has several areas underneath that are in great danger of being damaged by even a slight miscalculation of where or how the car is driven. A CF skid plate would allow the car to slide across speed bump, hump in the driveway, that piece of road trash you simply could not avoid in the freeway.

    Center Console

For me a redesigned Center Console would be high on my list of wants....

aside from having the improved material (i.e. , CF),,, get rid of the two drink/cup holders and incorporate a truly ergonomic arm rest there. :nice:

sure, the cup holders are cute and all, but they dont add a thing to the driving experience.

The hood would be a good idea since the S197 hood is quite a simple shape and this reduces some front weight.

Deck lid already exists. And to some extent so do the shin spoilers. I personally would like to see a GTR styled (Not the RK sport GTR style) fenders offered in CF. And a real carbon fiber dash kit. That actually fit well. Most I have found are either not real CF. Or they are cut just a little smaller than the pieces that they cover. And while the company is at it. Make the dash kit cover the sideview mirror housings.

Well.. considering my fox makes only 75 ponies more then my S197, yet can soundly whomp it... I'd say I'm seriously interested in carbon fiber. Hood, front quarters, door skin and trunklid, all stock looking. It would have to be easy to paint as well. I have a bunch of fiberglass on the Fox, and was always against the ricer carbon fiber look. Then I actually felt the difference in weight. Got my vote, just as long as the bling factor is covered up with smooth paint.

The GTR(concept car) fenders would be sweet!

I'd like to see a c/f engine cover and radiator suport cover. What about a c/f roof?? Now that could be a good way to drop some lbs!

a carbon fiber engine cover and radiator support cover already exist. they were around $400 or $500 IIRC. not worth it.

Yes they were on ebay for that price. And IMHO the engine cover was ugly. And I would try it myself long before paying $400+ for the radiator cover.

Hmm I think the engine cover looks like a lump. If they want that much money. Then it better have a lot nicer shape.
