Heat Coating for lower Intake:

I'm contemplating having my intake extrude/honed this winter. I thought it would be a good idea to coat my lower intake with something that would act as a heat shield (something like a jet hot coating, but that could be applied at home). IMHO, a heat paint is not an option. heat paint only resists heat, but does not act as a 'heat-barrier'.
So do I have any options?
