Hey all!! I have some valve springs that I need help identifying. I got these years ago on a set of ported 289 heads, so I know pretty much nothing of what brand or where they come from. I have been doing some searching and found the Comp Cams 972's to be close, but the specs don't jive everywhere. Here is what I have measured on them:

Main spring:
1.455 OD
1.075 ID
Coil width= .191
2.065 free height

Damper spring:
1.100 OD (free)
1.010 ID (free)
.045 coil width
.250 coil height
.975 ID (assembled)

I have a set of GT40 heads on their way and figure I will need to change the springs, hoping these would do the job with the stock HO cam. If not, I will have to look into the Trick Flow set or something else comparatively. Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Thanks for the reply!! I will check out Crane specs and see if there is something that matches. Here is the pic:

Closest Crane has is either 99840 or 96801 from what I can come up with. I almost wonder if they aren't stock Ford springs from something...
