Help! Picking new Cam

Discussion in 'Fox 5.0 Mustang Tech' started by SilverBullit, Dec 14, 2003.

  1. I've recently had some problems with my engine and my cam went down the drain. I need some help on picking a new cam or getting the same one I had (Crower 15511). I don't have the money to fork out $300.00 plus for a custom cam, so if anybody has any suggestion they are more than welcome. My mods are in the sig, and I'm planning on adding a Edelbrock Performer RPM, and longtubes sometime in the not so distant future. Thanks for the help.

  2. I need you guys input quick, I've got to get the thing order and installed by the end of the week.
  3. Is it still speed density?
  4. the best thing i can think of is to call comp cams and tel lthem what u want to expect out of your setup adn your current and some what future mods. these people know there *****. :flag:
  5. No its not SD, I switched to MAF a few weeks ago.
  6. ok, well I would go with an XE270HR with 112lsa if you are sticking with your 1.7 rockers. That will give you a bit more lift and a tighter lobe separation, for more power over the Crower.
