sheesh peace of mind as per the steering fluid, thank u joe. I pushed the car in the garage last nite. I disconnected the msd from battery and coil. No start. If you cranked on the steering wheel with the car off, it will puke steering fluid.
There is a procedure to self yet the msd, but what I was referring to was unhooking it from your coil wires and just use the stock coil wires to peer the coil.

Found it pressed on the red button but it didnt budgeThe fuel inertia switch is directly behind the drivers side tail light. behind the plastic. It has a red button on top. You can't miss it. Press the red button down if it is up Very likely you tripped it since you were playing around in the trunk.
Pump primes. I tried to start it w out msd(back to stock) nothing. No spark at coil. Coil is new, tfi is new, how do I test pip sensor? W a test light?Shoot starting fluid at the air filter while someone cranks the engine. If it fires up you have a fuel delivery problem.
If you have a timing light, connect it to one of the spark plug wires and have someone crank the engine while you pull the trigger on the timing light. If the ignition is firing, the timing light should flash when the engine is cranked over. If the timing light does not flash, you have an ignition problem.
Click to expand...How can it turn over but not crank? Turning over is cranking. Can you hear the pump prime? If you can chances are it has fuel pressure. I'd say its something with the msd. Check the connections. You also don't need a boost retard if your getting it tuned. To check for spark pull one of the wires, put a spark plug in it and hold it to ground. Crank the car if it has spark the msd is good. If not that's your problem.

fried. Had butt load of miles on it. Had to replace the alt on Friday the new alt died on Monday. Got another alternator and replaced pig tail. What happened to the pig tail? Get disconnected or fried?
Yeah, horrible. 5 months ago I called to get a dyno appointment and sept 16 was as soon as they could get me in. I took vacation, car didnt start, didnt, get to go.Damn that's some **** right there
Which pigtail? The one with the 2 black/orange wires or the D shaped one with 3 wires?''twas the pigtail that connects to the alternator. Add it to the check list. Got it running but missed my dyno appointment. Maybe they can get me in in 6 mo
