Help With Aftermarket Good Install

Need some help, picked up a 2.5 hood off craigslist pretty beat up but cheap. After some love and primer it's on the car to mock it up. Anyway, i have to slam it to get it to latch, it was originally set up for pins but not doing that. I'm all out of adjustments to and I don't like slamming it. Any other tricks??

Is this a metal hood or fiberglass?

Are the gaps between the hood and the fenders equal on both sides?
Is the side gap at the front of the hood the same as the side gap in the rear of the hood ?

Some pictures of the hood latching mechanism both on the hood and the car body would be helpful.

Assuming you do get the hood to line up, I strongly suggest you install hood pins.
