So it's finally time to remove the stock Mustang stereo. Granted, part one was easy enough. The upper half (radio reciever) came out smoothly and the new CD reciever is installed and looking nice. However, in removing the lower CD player, the one seperate and situated just behind the shifter, refuses to move. The C clips once in the holes allow for a little bit of movement, but unfortunately, it seems as though it's clipped into place. It will not slide outwards, it simply seems to slide out a bit on the left or right side, then seems to latch back into place when the other side is attempted. Does anyone else have any experience with this, whether or not the front trim bezel needs to be removed, etc.

    Thanks in advance.

Anyone? Am I simply not applying enough elbow grease? Does the trim bezel need to be removed to free extra clips on the bottom of the CD player? Note, this is NOT the upper half of the stereo.
