helpfull ideas?

hey everyone first off i would like to say i have not done too much work to my car i bought it the way it stands with the exception of some body work and a megasquirt standalone. the car has ford race headers and a bbk cold air intake. its a 90 5.0 with 130k on it i recently blew what i thought was starting signs of a head gasket(white smoke and loss of coolant) so i bought a head set and ripped the car apart. I found out the white smoke was due to coolant entering through one of the intake valves and burning out of the exhaust valve on the same cylinder. Now my question to all of you eventually i will turbo the car i was going to have the heads and valves cleaned and such but i was told almost 300 a head to do that, and thats providing there is no damage to the heads or valves , and thats with me assembling the head . So should i just redo the head i have or buy a new set of complete heads and if i do that which heads does everyone reccomend?
