If you want one cheap, heres your chance...This guy has no idea obviously what hes got... http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/0/8/70693708.htm
nice "DODGE" Your definatly right about him not knowing what he's got... he doesn't even know the Make! Someone rip this guy off before his hangover subsides.
I'm guessing he must have had one of the Dodge Shelby's from the 80s... Well then this must be a Dodge too....wonder what idiot put that Ford lettering all over it... Maybe he'll believe that the special edition "Ford" Dodge Shelby isn't worth much and take a lot less for it...
i think it was a simple slip up when choosing the make. You know that Ford with an F and Dodge with a D are right there beside each other. If he had an email address, id probably email him about it. Im sure its worth more than $50k
I just spoke with him. He says hes decided to keep it now . He admitted he didnt check the market. I asked him to name a price, and he still said its not for sale. I think some little birdie whispered in his ear.
Naw, I think he just sober'd up... Too bad to... someone coulda made a easy 40-50k off a reselling of that car.
Make a 40-50k profit off THAT for 50k to begin with....damn I'd hate to see where you are shopping. I wouldnt pay more than 50k for a restored 500...maybe 40k for a 350. I will get one some day after I get my schooling done and get financially capable...but I'll take my time and pay 10k for a project car, dump about 20-25k into it and be done with a car superior to most on the market for much more.
well it just hit me, one of our own regular members owns that car! pm him and tell him about the screw up, his screen name is "dodgestang"
50K is too much $$ for that car..Barret Jackson draws insane money because of the forum in which they are sold. Everything that sells there is waaay overpriced and the buyers are mostly wealty idiots who just like to say they paid big bucks for a streetrod or classic, when in fact the had just made the very worst investment of their lives.. In fact from what I see most Barrret Jackson sales are 2x or more what the rest of the market draws. I looked at a suuuuper nice 67 GT350 a few weeks ago, the guy had it for sale for months at $40,000 and all he was getting was lookers and dreamers.
