Does anyone know if the holset HX40 is big enough or efficient size to make good power on a 5.0 mustang.
the Holset turbos are very efficiant, it will support about 550 hp give or take, (enough to destroy your stock block) main thing to look for is the hotside size, (i.e. 18cm 22cm ) too big and you'll lag too small and you'll choke it out on the top end, t4 flage or t3 flange as they came with both depending on what it was off of. I had my holset machined for a .96 A/R garrett turbine housing (T4)
