Hooked my ipod to my Deck

I recently purchased an Alpine CDM-9821 reciever, and one of these so that I could hook my iPod to my deck.

Well my original plan was to just have a cable coming out between two piece of the dash. Well I desided that would look to cheap, so I went to radio shack and picked me up one of these which I spliced onto the cable.

Then I drilled a hole in the shifter bazel opposite of the cigarete plug.

Then I am going to get one of these and have it in the front cupholder.

nice job, Clean Install. I'm trying to do the same with my Dell Jukebox. How did you use the Panel-Mount Jack? Is it connected to the RCA or is it being used for a power source.

It's connected to the RCA.

Just wanted to say thanks for the how to, Also I was wounder if when your iPod is on does can you use the radio buttons to go to next or pause or do you still have to use the iPod buttons.

WHERE did you get the 1/8 to 1/4 headphone jack. I found one at Radio Shack but it is 6' long, yours looks about 6" long.

I used a 1/4 to 1/8 converter, then a 1 foot cable.
