Houston(Dallas and San Antone as well) to Austin Cruise, March 27-28 Hi all, We are a having a Houston to Austin Cruise on March 27-28th. Anyone who would like to join us is welcome. We would love to hook up with some fellow car junkies for cruising, good food, and a night on the town Saturday night. Also we welcome any surrounding cities to cruise down to Austin and meet us to hang out. The Agenda is as follows: Saturday morning (8:30 a.m.), the Houston crew will depart from 290 and 1960 and straight shot to Austin, cruising. Once we get to Austin, we will meet up with other people comming in from different cities, (and hopefully some Austin people can meet us also) we will grab a bite for lunch, and then we will proceed to do a cruise W by NW of Austin, and head back to Austin when everyone is cruised out. Check into the hotel and chill out till dinner. After dinner, for those interested, we will head to 6th street. Sunday, checkout is by Noon, so we can grab some breakfast and head back to Houston(or your respective City) and go through Bastrop and Round Top, stopping in Round Top, to eat at Landhous. Firme, What is you route N and NW Austin for your Cruise, I got ball games with the kids on Saturday, but maybe I can catch you guys if I know the route. Is 620 on the map for you guys? Or where is lunch going to be at on Saturday or the meeting place when you get in??
We are staying just south of the capital off Congress by 6th street. We are meeting people from Austin/San Antonio/Dallas and of Course the Houston crew somewhere on the southwest side and going down by I think Bee Caves Rd. or hwy 2244 and 962, we are still working out the final meeting spot detial and cruise path. We are trying to find a good place to meet by Bee Caves Rd. I think we are gonna just cruise up hill county till we feel like heading back. Will be going to dinner and hitting 6th street at night.
that sounds like something I might be interested in, I just kinda browsed through this thread so excuse me if I missed something, but what all is going on during the day in Austin, and what kinda trouble are we gonna get into on 6th street.....lol...
we are meeting in austin in the afternoon (around 1 or so) and doing a hill country cruise. After comming back to Austin, we will check into the hotel, then meet for dinner. Afterwards, those who want to, can go bar hopin down 6th street(its only a couple of block from the hotel)
here is some more details: The Houston Crew will pull into Austin a little after noon to the meeting spot. We will grab a quick bite if needed and freshen up. By the time we are done, Hopefully the Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas crew will be there. It will be time to head out for the Cruise at 1:15. The Meeting spot in Austin: HEB at the corner of HWY 620 and HWY 2222 The Address is: HEB 7301 Ranch Road 620 N Austin Tx 78726 (There is a few place to eat by HEB. McDonalds, Subway, Pizaa, Starbucks for the coffee junkies (Like me), and a BBQ Place called Smokey J's.) The Cruise: at 1:15 we will start the cruise, heading to Marble Falls. We will take 1431 to Marble Falls stopping at the Sonic there. We can freshen up, get a drink or some Ice Cream, and everyone can get to meet each other, mingle and get some pictures. We will then take Hwy 71 back to Austin which is a straight shot and check into the radisson probably around 4. And get ready for dinner at the brewery around 7:30.
