Since most of you have 'new' Stangs, I was really interested in how far you have got with them. Who took theirs on a road trip and where to?

From Knoxville TN to Columbus Ohio for the Ohio State-Texas Football game.:Word:

Anyways, it was rought. The first three hours was ok, but after that the road feel was a little bothersome. Don't get me wrong... I like the feel of the road in a sports car... but I think I got spoiled by my Tahoe for long road trips:D

Atleast I got one road trip under my belt... and other that the long highway miles.. .it was great

Went to Jasper 2 weeks ago.
The Mountain roads and empty highways made the trip pretty nice

Kansas City to Detriot. It was a great trip - quite comfortable. Except for the dog's head constantly laying on the center console - no where to put your arm :)

Big Rapids, MI to Harrisonburg, VA. Drove Skyline Drive (too bad speed limit was only 35) but was a blast. Took Hwy-33 West through the mountains to Elkins, W. Va and it was awesome the way the Stang took the curves and ascents/descents. If it wasn't for some slow-moving traffic, might've gotten a ticket or two. Got lucky. I was very impressed with how much family luggage we got into it for our week-long trip (there's four of us). Met some racers from Michigan headed for Jersey for a Fun Ford Weekend there and thought of taking a detour but was too far out of the way for the Mrs. Will make that next time if we go back. I will say that Ford did an excellent job with the design of the '05. Smoothest riding vehicle I've owned but I'm glad the two riding in the back were youngsters. If they get any older (and that's still up for debate) we won't be able to take the Stang anymore.

Yeah on our aforementioned trip we drove the entire Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. Can't drive too quickly on it, but it's worth it anyway. I'd do that again in a heartbeat. The stang was a blast.

I went to a car show (Wild Ponies of Hanau) in Hanau, Germany. It was 831 miles one way. I received a trophy for the longest distance traveled to the show, and I came in 3rd place.
