with my 2.3 turbo i get 16 if i take it easy. 14 if i beat on it a lot. this is in a truck so the drag is quit a bit more i would imagine.
I used to get 20 MPG (10 gallons to 200 miles) but this last tank has me at 150 miles when I'm still half full. I'm wondering if maybe the car is adjusting some to the exhaust work done this time last month. Hopefully I will get even better MPG when I get a cold air intake on. Of course I could be entirely wrong and its a freak tank of gas?!
The bes I have eked out is 26.6mpg. Even when I say I will try to be nice and accellerate slowly and smoothly I still end up dropping the hammer pretty often. Call it a lack of self-control if you want, I call it "why the hell did I turbocharge this car if I wasn't going to use it?" I got that 26.6mpg while letting it warm up in the middle of winter for as long as 30 minutes. I like getting into a warm car, and if you turn the heater on low you don't always have to scrape your windows.
Teal you might want to take a look at your O2, those numbers sound really low. Did you get a new O2 when you changed the header, if ya didnt you might want to. I get about 24-27 all hwy, but around town about 20 or so
i freakin wish, I get like maybe 7-10 miles to the gallon, i dunno y. i drive hard, but thats still no excuse.
Mines 20-21 In town combined with highway every other day. I think somethings wrong, after the hurricanes that happened down here, it completely killed my mpg, infact the day after the hurricane when i ran my car, it ate like 2 gallons going 10 miles. then has slowly been getting back.
Magnaflow we're in the same boat. I got like 14 miles to a gallon before I replaced my fuel injectors and ECT. Now It's even worse! I had over a half a tank and got like 68 miles out of it. Just pitiful.
Last year on vacation averaged about 26 miles to the gallon on 3 tanks of gas. One of the tanks I averaged over a hundered miles an hour. Kinda kills the gas milage only git about 22 on that tank.
I got over 300 miles on my last tank. I just recently changed the o2 sensor and that made a huge difference.
19-24.5 lots of city on the low end....mild highway driving on the top end. Im sure my milage will go up if i stay closer to 65.
Umm....... 5.0s dont get 20 mpg, you'll be lucky to get 17 (probably less) on the highway and about14 in the city depending on the gearing and the driver.
