How much weight do you save with an aftermarket fiberglass hood?

I noticed quite a difference between my stock GT hood w/ scoop and the fiberglass 00 R hood I have on now. I'd say at least a 10-15lbs difference.

i have done some weight reduction to my car. when everything is added together you will def notice it.

here are some of the things i did and the weight loss. some parts are replaced so you have to take into consideration the weight of the part going back in.

hood stock/ 33lbs - 22 lbs steed hood = 10lbs weight drop
wing/ -8
rear seat delete stock leather 50lbs - 10 lbs for seat delete = 40lbs drop
aluminum ds stock 22lbs - 12lbs = 10lbs drop
gutted trunk no spare or jack - 30
dogbone delete - 5
a/c and heat delete -35

that is my total so far -138lbs

im going to get racing seats also in the future. if you have a power drivers seat that is a -35 passseat is a - 17 depending on the aftermarket seat you go with. the ones i was looking at were about 23 lbs.

oh forgot the aluminum block. i dont even remember what that is. i think its minus 70lbs. however, you cant forget the weight you add like wheels, suspension mods, in my case supercharger and all the stuff going with it. but you will still be a step ahead of somone else with the same mods.
