I have a chance to buy a 1985 mustang 5.0. pretty cheap. It appears to be clean and the odometer reads 95,XXX. I have no clue if the motor is bad though. It is at an auction and they will not let you start it.. Can someone run a carfax on it for me? 1FABP28M9FF154855. What would this car be worth? I have a 1991 5.0 and I do not know much about these four eyes. Thanks for your help.

When you have a car that is over 20 years old, miles isn't really that big of a deal, although 95K could be 195, 295, and so on. You need to look at the condition and just ask if the engine is good.

If it looks really clean and solid, about $1000 w/o hearing it run & shift. Don't bother at all if it has an AOD. They're worthless and cost twice as much to fix as a broken T5.

Won't they even start it to roll it up on the block? What kinda auction is that?
