How to bleed the coolant system?

What is the correct way to bleed the coolant system on a 95 5.0?

I've never had one that didn't bleed fine on it's own. Generally if you are having problems, you run it with the front of the car slightly elevated up to temperature. Then when it cools down to no pressure, top off the system.

I really haven't either, but having a slight overheating issue and trying to make sure all the simple stuff is done before I spend too much cash.

Yeah, I guess it can't hurt to do all you can. It's been incredibly hot here lately, so that could be the case.

Where I am it was 116*F yesterday. Now that'll really put any cooling system to a stern test.

By topping off the system that should mean making sure the coolant level in the degas/reservoir bottle is above the cold level mark. If the bottle is sucked dry as the engine cools air will be drawn into the system. If that happens you just invite an overheating condition.

I had a problem with mine and elevating the front end was the key to fixing it.
