how to know when valve is closed for rockers, to tighten them down

im back again, with one last question, got my new block in and tightened the rockers down the wrong way, how do i now when the valve is closed, whats the easiest way to tell??? thanx

Take off your valve cover. crank the motor with a ratchet (on the crankshaft bolt) look at the rocker... it wil go down and up.. you ll no its all up when keeping turning the crank.the rocker wont move for a moment...

when the rovker is all up, your valve is close.

ps. you should take off all your spark plugs to do this.

will the pushrods be all the way down or up??
