Ok, this seems to come up about once a week and I swear to god I already made a sticky about it. However, the lack of sticky kind of proves me wrong, which would be the second time in my life, or something... yeah. Second time. Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need 30 posts to put up an image. While this holds true for attachments, you can use vB code at any time. This little button right here is my prefered way of posting images as it is simple. Click the button, type in the internet URL (http://www.image.com/image.jpg or whatever) and you're good to go! If you don't have anywhere to upload pictures but know how to use FTP, click the link in my sig that says "free image hosting" and you can upload your pictures to my web site. Now, if the image is not already online somewhere and you have nowhere to upload it to, you'll have to use an attachment. If you have 30 or more posts, simply click the "Manage Attachments" link down near the bottom of the page and your picture(s) will be uploaded to Stangnet. If you don't have 30 posts yet, well, hang around for a while and don't spam. -david-
ok... so I am trying to use your free host guide Well I made a folder in it called "mike" then I copied a picture in it... and now what do i do?
Now, when you make a post, you click the image button: And type in the address (which in this case is http://image.modenstudios.com/Mikes/small.bmp). -david-
ok so i figured out how to add an attachment and added it to this thread by mistake, but now it wont let me add the same attachment to a different thread? also, i dont have those options you're showing in that pic, i only have smiles? im registered so is this the 30 post thing?
Did they disable the img html function? I could understand why but haven't heard any word saying one way or another. It would be nice to post pictures again and have them show up.
I would say use mustangmods.com photobucket.com or the site Moden listed to do it. Angelfire isn't too reliable (I don't think?!? ) which will lead to it coming up as an X at times
