how to put on a spacer....

i have a 1/2" spacer i want to put on my intake...how do i go about putting it on....there's the pipe that goes from the header to the end of the intake...can i cap it off.....i mean cut the pipe and cap both ends or do i have to have a special part to put it on???? please any help will be helpful

I take it your spacer didn't come with an extension fitting for the EGR tube. You can cap it but then you'll throw a CEL. So, take off the EGR tube and take it to your favorite home improvement store and get a fitting that will make up the difference in height (1/2").

5.0 resto also has egr extensions for sale...but if home depot works, its probably cheaper
