Join the Southwest Region of the Saleen Club of America for a great time at the 21sth Annual Huntington Beach Concours d’Elegance in CA! This is the only Concours in the country with a class for Saleens. This year the featured domestic marque is the Ford Mustang, so there are many other classes for our favorite car as well. Expect to see incredible and rare examples Ferraris, the featured import marque. Registration deadline is Friday, May 26th but I can assist those who need to register at a later date. Quantity of registrations and vehicle year/type will determine subclasses. If you have any questions or need hotel recommendations, feel free to email me at theheadpaneer@hotmail.com or events@saleenclubofamerica.com . Distance from the Concours: 3.04 miles Located next to the 405 Freeway http://www.bjsbrewhouse.com/home_page/home_main.html If you didn’t make the event last year, here are a few things you can expect. The show is held in HB’s Central Park, adjacent to the public library. Concours proceeds benefit the Children's Library. If you appreciate Porsches, expect to see over 150 examples as this is a major event for the So. Cal. Chapter of the Porsche Club of America. If you like Corvettes, the local chapter of their national club will have over 50 cars there. This is a judged event, not a peoples choice, “Oh, that’s a pretty color car”, sort of show. So all those little details you painstakingly did to your car will be acknowledged. Our class (2J) will be "street level", meaning the judges know we drive our cars to events as opposed to bringing them in on trailers. Show participants receive nice goodie bags and better than average participation plaques. Here are some pics from one of the last shows. If you would like to see photos from last year’s event, go to http://www.saleenclubofamerica.com/ . Look at the “Event Image Gallery” under “2005 Event Images”. Hope to see you there!
Mail yer entries by tomorrow. Again, if it’s going to arrive late, let me know and I will coordinate with the entries director at the Concours.
