Looks like it went just a tiny bit east of New Orleans.

and thats worse then if it got a direct hit b/c all the major rain fall is comming from the eastern part of the eye wall and all that rain thats getting dumped to the east of New Orleans is going to fill up that lake and possible spill over into the city

You got it backwards dude...If it passed to the east, then N.O got the WEST side of the storm. (Which it DID, thank GOD, allowing a milder part of the wall to hit)
