One of my new neighbors has a cat(s). I see the kitty prints all over my F 150 and Focus every morning. The Mustangs are safely tucked away in the garage so at least they are safe.

Tonight Im solving the problem with a method Ive developed that works 100% of the time.

A BIG rat trap and a spoon of tuna. Im expecting to hear a loud snap at any moment.

Im not into hurting animals, but Im also not into my vehicles being scratched up.

    I blame irresponsible pet owners.

Go to the internet and look up SCAT MATS. Check different sites of prices as there are places that charge too much for them. I got the large one for my stang and I actually heard it get a cat the first night. Hasn't been near my car since. They use a 9 vcolt battery and it shoots static electricity when a cat lands on them. If you don't find one affordable with 2 vehicles to cover, I can sell you mine. I now have a car cover for my car and don't have to worry about it. You can PM me if interested in mine.

At least you can sleep at night when it's on your car. I almost put a JHP through my neighbor's dog last night for barking every 10 minutes.

Neighborhood roaming cats really **** me off. Their owners cry "foul" when they see a dog loose on the street, but then turn around and let thier cats crap in my yard and walk across my vehicles.

I've considered getting a live animal trap. Catch the cats and turn them over to the animal control people, then leave a note on the neighbors door. They will have to pay for the release of their beloved kitty from animal control. :nice:

The last house I owned I had a neighbor right next to me that had a "cat door" where their cats came and gone at will. The two cats were constantly walking on my family's three vehicles. I couldn't leave the garage door open without them making our vehicles their "fun places". They pawed the paint, they used two of my family's verts as "scratches posts" and even pissed in one of them. I finally had had it with the neighbors that didn't care what their cats were doing. I bought a small animal trap and left it in my garage. Sure enough, one day there was one of the two cats in it. If it wasn't supposed to be in my garage, it was and was caught. I took the whining bastasd 20 miles across town and let her out. Figured she would have to find her way home. My neighbors posted pictures of their precious damaging **** cat. **** them. If they didn't want something to happen to it, they shouldn't have let it run free...

    **** cats.

Btw, Animal Control in my town would NOT take a stray cat. To many to be had.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm one of those people with a cat. When we got the cat we house trained him, but then he started wanting to go outside, and mom let him. Eventually he was in and out. I wanted to keep him inside from the beginning. He always climbs on my car...JUST MINE. Not my brothers, not the neighbors, not mom's, JUST MINE. Now my mom moved and didn't take the cat with her. If I don't let him out he stands by the door and meows like crazy and if it takes too long for me to let him out he chits somewhere in the house. Do you guys think that I should:
    A. Kill him
    B. Sell him to a Chinese restaurant
    C. Just make him stay inside and deal with his crap until he gets used to it

I'm a cat owner but he doesn't go outside. He wouldn't last long if I did. In fact, all of his siblings got turned into pavement paint. I can sympathize with GT40XStang9 though. I had the same problem the other night. My biggest problem is some idiot in an Impreza using my neighborhood for street racing. Sooner or later he is going to hit someone or something. I just hope he only kills himself. We know for a fact that many of the neighbors have called the police on him (because my girlfriend did) but they don't seem able to do anything about him. Maybe he'll crash and take out that barking dog for us!

I couldn't resist. We have 3 Indoor cats and 3 dogs. We recently purchased a leather sofa (waiting for delivery) and I ordered one of these Scat Mats to see how well it works. If it works well on my pets, I'll put it on the car a few nights. I should have it in 4-10 days. :nice:

Absolutely not! A person can be charged and jailed for animal cruelty if it's proven they were purposely putting antifreeze down in an effort to kill an animal.

I too sympathize with everyone who has problems with their neighbor's cats & dogs. Using antifreeze to kill an animal is pretty inhumane because it is not quick or painless. I'd rather see you just shoot them in the head and make it quick.

There are about 4 cats that plague my backyard everynight. Then, one muggy August morning, I went outside to find a cat taking a dump on the hood of my 06 WRX daily driver (please, spare me the "...well at least the cats smart and knows where to $hit" remarks).

Anyway, I (boiling over in rage, and not thinking clearly) ran back into my house and grabbed my Spyder Imaging paintball gun, and unloaded on my feline friend.

It didn't hurt him, just gave him a little shock, and made him feel slightly "blue"...or perhaps it was the blue paint I used :D

I haven't seen it back in my yard...1 down 3 to go!!

Sorry Meat but I was refering to the +1 of his own post. I do, however, agree with the above.

I had a friend lose a dog because a neighbor left a bucket of chicken bones and antifreeze out to get rid of varmits. They couldn't prove that the dog got into this, but all signs pointed to it.

After a few sprays from the hose, my cat doesnt go near my car anymore. I havent seen a paw print on my car in a long long time.

The garden hose in an excellent training tool for cats and dogs
