That's right, you Glock people, come in here. I'm looking to get a new pistol, and glock is the front runner right now. I'm wanting a under 4" barrel, 45 ACP. That basically means Glock 30 or 36. I like the idea of the G30SF, anyone have one in here? I know some of yall carry the baby Glocks, but do you carry in 45?

I've tried and tried, but the XD's and me don't mesh well. The XD sub compact also doesn't come in 45, so its out. My P229 in 40 does the job fine, but I want a 45 also, and would want to shave some weight, again, the plastic guns get the nod.

    Discuss and defend your opinion.

    GO!

I have 1 Sig, I don't have the money for two. If I did, I'd go Kimber.

I have a Glock 22 and could not be happier. Rounds that jam in friends guns fire through mine with no issues.

If you're willing to go .45GAP, you could get a G38 or 39 with a smaller grip.

Glock 22 here too. Sorry, no experience with the Glock in a .45-cal though. Can't see it being anything but excellent, just like their other calibers though?

I really want to find someone with one and shoot it.

I'm not a fan of the GAP, and its more difficult to find. I like the weight of the G36, but want more than 6+1 capacity.

Aaaaah a zen like experience. To see a young person by his first GLOCK. Pretty soon he'll be derailing threads and talking about poop. :)

Glock has 2 .45 rounds. I LOVE te .45 ACP round but unfortunately I have never shot anything but the baby GLOCK in a .40.

I will tell you to look into the 3 spring technology that GLOCK uses.

I'm currently trying to negotiate a trade for my Sig .40 for a GLOCK 21 .45 acp. I'll let you know if I get it. I love my GLOCK 22 though so this one should be no different.

I know it WILL be a .45 ACP, not GAP. I know a guy who has a G30, but I don't want to ask to borrow/shoot it since I already have about $1200 worth of his scuba gear in my apt. I don't want to be "that" guy.

Strype and 90, how do you like the small grip? Do you have the +0, +1, +2 extension?

What about calling few ranges in the area and asking them if they got one for rent? Every range I have been to in 3 different parts of the counrty, they always had a bunch of different pistols to rent. You never know, eh?

I wish the ranges up here did, that would really help in my purchasing I plan on doing in the coming months...Kind of hard to get a feel for a good CC gun when you can't find a place that allows you to both shoot and use the gun in a IWB holster to see how it fits and feels...bastids...

The only range for non-LEO has a few glocks, but none in 45 and none sub-compact. And they charge $15 per person to shoot, plus their ammo. I can shoot a friends, but I just don't want to ask. I might just invite him out shooting, and shoot it then.

Do yourself a favor Save for a Kimber Ultra Carry II or Pro Carry dependant if you want a 3" or 4" barrel. It's only a couple hundred bucks more.

I can't stand Glocks. This coming from someone who carries 2, 4 days a week and 1, 3 days a week.

    I carry the 22 and 27.

Sorry m8, only have the Glock 26 as my conceal weapon. But, if it's anything like the quality.... I'd say go for it. Make sure you get the mag grip extension though.

I like the 10 rounds and the weight of the Glock though. I really don't like Glock that much, and I'm going to shoot the G30 tomorrow. I really want a full size Kimber, but I just don't have the money. How much are the Pro and Ultra carry going for? Around here they're still in the $850-900 range.

Do you have any opinion on the G30?
