Any and every weapon will jam. I have had plenty of jams out of my Glocks.
But that's why you practice for such.

yup. but they can and will still jam.
That's why one should always practice clearing drills.

Only if you own a 1911. I regularily go 3,000-5,000 rounds with my glock without cleaning and without a single hickup.

...and it still goes bang 99.9% of the time! :nice:

Well, Just got back from the range. I have decided. Glock 30 SF. Still has the 10 rounds, and a little slimmer than the G30. The Glock trigger is much different than I'm used to with the DA/SA trigger set. I wasn't that accurate with the first 5 shots, but the second 5 were much better, and showed me what I needed to see. I don't have a penny, so a NC State shot glass will have to work. Shooting from 7 yards, the head shots were at a rate of 5 rounds in 4 seconds. (slow)

    Was shooting for left tit

Was shooting for forehead, didn't know there was a bullseye on between the eyes.

Decent first attempt. One thing to consider. Stock Glock sights suck!!! They're very "approximate" and by no means should be considered bullseye sights. I swaped out my stock Glock sights with a set of XS Big Dots and never looked back.

Oh, and Zombie Targets rock. Where did you find those ones?

I'm not a fan of the big dot sights. I found the target with the rest of the 20 different targets the range has.

I didn't think I'd like them either until I actually tried them. Now I don't think I’ll ever like anything else. :(

I wasn't sure if I could ever get used to the lollypop style sight picture, but I get faster target acquisition and more repeatable groupings with them, than I ever could with the stock ones.

The sight acquisition is quicker for short range shots, yes. But I like to be able to see my target past 15 yards.

That's the beauty of them though....beyond 15-25-yards, you drop the front site down and start lining the top of site up, with the center of the target like you do a normal sight.

See, the bullet arks as it travels through the air. At 15-25 yards the bullet is actually traveling several inches higher than it would be a 0-15-yards, so you compensate for the drop by lowering the front sight.

And quite frankly....beyond 20-25yards, it’s pretty much approximation with these guns anyway.

Trust me man, don’t judge them until you actually shoot with them. I was skeptical at first as well, but said screw it and took the chance and after using them for a weekend am fully convinced that they’re the best sites available for a gun intented for general, defensive, IPSC, or any other non-bulls eye type shooting. And quite frankly...the Glock is the wrong choice for someone looking into bulls eye shooting.

Check out these video’s and tell me that they’re no good for distance.....

I absolutely LOVE my Glock. I have fired thousands of rounds thru my G23 and NEVER had a malfunction.

I do not like the stock sights though. I ordered my G23 with factory night sights that are much better than the stockers.

I even love the fact that I can go to the Glock factory right here in ATL for any issues if necessary (never had to, although I took my dad up there to purchase and have night sights installed by the Glock factory technicians on his G26).

It looks like I'm going to HAVE to buy a reloading press and dyes. 45 ACP is expensive here. $28/50
