I just got my fuel cell in, I have a weird or dumb question, I guess

So,
I have a new RCI 16 gallon fuel cell (sumped/drag cell) and I also opted to pay the extra $20 for the safety foam. Well, I was expecting the foam to be external type foam, but it's black foam on the inside of the fuel cell. Is this how it's supposed to be? I guess this helps it from sloshing, and would help safety wise in case of an accident? So that "safety foam" is internal, or do I remove it and use it as a "foam cushion,"

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I have no experience w/ fuel cells yet, thanks for your help

Leave the foam inside the cell. That is the way it is supposed to be.

You need to put some warm clothes on, pitch a tent around your car, and install your SCer , j/k
