I've heard the GT500 will use a supercharger.. as I'm not sure if this question has been asked before.. but would it be a complete PAIN to convert that to Turbo or even Twin?

Im sure it would take a while for someone to make such a kit. But It already sounds expensive!

Its possible to rip off the super charger and throw a turbo onto the N/A 5.4L. I sure as hell wouldn't do it though. Or do you mean ADD a turbo? I know a lot of people that've added turbos to their 03/04 Cobras.

why would you add a turbo to the supercharger, when you could just upgrade the supercharger for alot less?

just buy a regular GT, then add the turbos. why spend $40,000+ to pull the supercharger and add turbo? just buy a forged 5.4 longblock and add the turbos to that. cheaper in the long run.

Right now the only turbo kit I have seen in the making has a suggested price of 5K. A twin set is more of course. But the very valid point was made earlier. Why pay 40K + to rip off a good SC?

You can spend less money beefing up the internals, adding more boost and getting more power for quite a bit less money. The SC will give you more TQ where you need it without the spool time that you find in turbo setups. (LAG). A good roots / twin screw will probably be a better choice for this motor.
