2003 V6:
I just picked up a set of Raxiom smoke halo projectors for my girlfriends car; I'm looking at the wiring instructions and their demo and it would appear the halos only come on when you have the running lights on (you use wire taps on the amber side light).

I would like to the halo's to come on when she starts the car but am uncertain of a SAFE source for that power.

Can anyone direct me to the location and color of an accessory power source?
I want to do this right, not just shove a wire spade into the fuse block.

Install a relay setup. Use #12 or 14 wiring from battery to relay to the halos.

Then use any 12v+ source to trigger the relay. Coolant sensor power is a good key on source to trigger the relay.

Make sure you use an inline fuse off the battery as well.

Read and see how many amps the halos will draw. You need to know this to size the fuse, power wire correctly
