I need your opinion before i spend over 6K on parts! :p

Alright. First of all i'd like to thank you for viewing the thread. I currently have a 01' V6 w/ dual exhaust and i will be selling that soon and trading it in for a 01'-02' GT 5 speed. My Goal is to build a freaking fast GT, my buddy who is basically a mustang god listed all these parts which will pretty much build up my engine/suspension. It's a lot of money and he said with a good tune i will hit 300+. Overall i'd really like to do the forced induction route or spray. Anyway, heres the parts.. Letme know what you guys think... My goal is to smoke 03' cobra's... :nice: Overall im looking about arround 6-7,000 worth of parts. Please steer me in the right direction..

The car will not have plug wires so take that off the list.
You will not need different fuel injectors.
Leave the MAF alone so no 90mm mass air.

Instead of dumping all that cash into a GT, you should just get an 03/04 Cobra.

With 10k you could get a forged shortblock and the 1.7 KB and probably catback. You'd be pushing at least 400 rwhp. Albeit you wouldnt have all the other things such as suspension and so on.. but you would have a "freaking fast gt"

You shouldn't just throw on **** and expect it to give you big gains because someone told you it will.. there has to be thought behind the mods..

As said above, if you plan on spending 10k, you might as well just buy a VT forged shortblock (which will knock out your forged parts,) put the 14psi KB on, do your suspension mods, and you'll be WAY above 300 (more like 500 with a good tune,) and youll spend the same.

Exactly what I was going to say. If I'm spending 7-10k on my GT I better make way over 300 rwhp. Do a forged shortblock and a KB. You won't be upset.

Ok here is what I would (read am doing).

I bought a Novi 2000 blower and ran it for two years. Awsome power, with the tune and other small mods yes I probably would keep up to a 03-04 Cobra. You woul dbe happy with that coming from a v-6, trust me. You woulld be putting down anywhere from 360-390HP at the wheels.

Now had the Saleen Series V or the KB 2.2 been out when I wanted it then that would be on the car as we speak. But that is not the point. I would go with one now, you can't deny the torque the twin screws make. Screw nitrous. I for one would rather be all throttle no bottle. But that is just me.

I am building the motor this winter I just bought a balenced/forged RA from VT for 2100. Good for 700 HP/8000 RPM. I added MPH stage 2.5 heads, customs cams, the works. I only have about 5700 into the motor right now for top shelf parts. That is about a 9400 investment into parts so far. And the potential to make 700 plus with the right tune and fuel mods. If you want to waste your time going NA go ahead, but when the guy next you did what I did ( and many others too) you will be wishing you had spent the money in the right place.
