I couldn't think of the proper word for it, but hoping some of you guys might have some good ideas. I have a like-new center console going in soon and the only thing missing is that dumb rubber slit that the E-brake handle fits through. Only 1/2 of the prongs are still on the back. Has anyone come up with a good idea on a way to fix this up? I'm trying to think of something that could mount there and make it look better. I'm sure I can rig up something out of leather, rubber, etc, but I know it's hard to keep it attached to the "nothing stick to me" plastic that Ford used. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. I will be going with some new carpet too.
    Thanks,
    Ken

I have a leather Ebrake boot that replaces that and looks good.

Me too. I bought mine from Redline Good, shipped here from Czech Republic along with a leather shifter boot for CHEAP money and to install it you need to cut off all of those plastic pins. Looks great and will fix your problem. Lots of custom options available too. Check them out:

Wow guys, you all came through! I remember having the same problem on my 93 and tried ton's of ways to fix it, but none ever held. So, this company makes these as a direct fit for our cars? I'm on my way to check them out. This will sooooo make my day. I got this full console on Ebay and it is mint except for missing the boot. I didn't want to put the console in and see that ugly, rusted Ebrake stuff under there. Thanks a million everyone,
    Ken
BTW: I know it's only a stupid cover and not going to get me an extra 10hp, but I tend to get caught up in the smallest of details.....

The guys have steered (braked?) you right. Mine didnt have the trim when I got it (I didn't know that it should).
I tried to BS some vinyl in the slot but got a boot later on. It looks 100 times better. I just used a generic leather boot however (cheap).

IIRC, Mansonozz has the Redline stuff and should have pics on his site probably.
I think Redline has install pics and directions on their site as well.
