I'm not a writer but here are my impressions of the '05

    The lines on the ’05 Mustang resemble those of the late 60’s and early 70’s models while the stance of the car is definitely a Boss 302/Mach 1. The side windows gives a nod to Carroll Shelby and provides the Mustang a with a unique character signature.

    In my opinion, when a car enthusiast hears Mustang the image that comes to mind is the Mustang of the late 60’s and early 70’s. To its credit the ’05 Mustang calls back the key design elements found in those cars and will stand with those vintages as a true Mustang in the minds eye of many car enthusiasts. In many ways, this is the reincarnation of the Mustang of legend. The new design brings the Mustang forward and it now truly shares the podium with the Corvette as the only other American car from that era to survive. In reality Ford did for the Mustang in 2005 what Chevrolet did for the Corvette in the 1984 and resurrected a legend to takes it rightful place on the street and track.

    The ’05 Mustang has excellent visibility around the car with surprisingly minimal blind spots. On the inside the car offers plenty of leg and head room for both the driver and passenger. Also, shoulder and hip room is abundant creating sense of roominess. The seats are firm and supportive and exceptionally comfortable. In the back seat, the extra head room brings the seats off the floor and rear passengers benefit from a comfortable 90 degree knee bend. As a result, the rear seat passenger is freed from the feeling of having their knees in their face and can sit comfortably for an extended period of time.

    The instrument cluster is well positioned and generally easy read. However, with respect to the speedometer, 5mph increments can be a little difficult to read at a quick glance, not unlike the Mustangs of the late 60s. That said, the driver can read the speedometer well enough to know when he or she is speeding. The lighting, information center, and traction controls are all well laid out and easily in reach of the driver. The MyColor option is worth the upgrade. It allows the driver to customize the back light color of the instrument gauges, choosing a color that fits both the color scheme of the car and one that driver can easily read as well.

    The 4.6 liter engine offers plenty of power. The engine accelerates smoothly with a consistent feeling of power across the rpm range. The automatic transmission sifts smooth and accurately. To say that the automatic is silky smooth across a wide range of driving conditions is an understatement. The steering is responsive under most driving conditions and offers a tight turning radius making the ’05 Mustang nimble in tight areas. The ride is smooth and yet the suspension and steering transmit enough information from the road so that the driver does not feel as if he or she is encased in a sterile driving cocoon. The braking is firm and offering plenty of stopping power for every day driving conditions. Finally, the 3-link rear end gives the car a live feeling and handles well in the corners imputing the drive with a sense of confidence. The ’05 Mustang can more than hold its own against its European or Japanese rivals in either autocross or straight line racing.

    Now, for the most important consideration given that most drivers will spend more time on public streets than the race track. This car is comfortable enough to take across country. The ride is smooth, interior noise is, if anything for a car of this nature, a little low. The sound system is exceptional. The Shaker 1000 is a must option in my opinion, and did I mention that the seats are comfortable and supportive. Also, the ’05 Mustang offers more than its share if niceties. Getting in and out of the ’05 Mustang is easy and driver does not feel as if they are crawling on or off the ground.

    This reeks of plagarism. Also, the backseat is no where near roomy for anybody but maybe a two year old.

    Really, I don't think so. Can you find the exact passage that was plagiarized. Maybe you say this to anyone that can correctly spell more than 10 words in a sequence (the correct spelling is plagiarism you knucklehead). :rlaugh:

    Oh, and I've sat in the back of the '05, you know the one in in my garage, and there is enough room for the rear passenger to be comfortable - not lounging around in a hot tub mind you - but comfortable nonetheless.

    Oops, my bad. I am truly sorry for making a slight error while spending the whole half a minute I did on it. Next time, I will take the time to write a rebuttal that atleast matches the epic quality of your statement. I said it reeks of PLAGIARISM( :rolleyes: ), which is not a flat out accusation. You got pretty defensive for someone who is innocent. And, unless you are less than 5 feet tall, the backseat is NOT roomy. No Mustang backseat has EVER been. But, I digress. Once again, please accept my sincerest apology and I will never do it again. :rolleyes:
