Its been a long while since I have been on Stangnet. I was one of the first members when Mike started so long ago so I thought I would start by helping out a bit. I just finished my 351 Cleveland swap into my 88 GT and after an exhaustive search I have found the answer to the swap pump question without having to go with a Holley blue pump or having to reconfigure the fuel tank for a mechanical or external pump. Funny.... the answer was in my back yard the whole time.
Get an Airtex e2484 pump for about $50. Its cylindrical but slimmer than the stock electric pump. I used a hose clamp to secure it to the stock fuel pump assy in the tank. You may also have to change the wiring connector ends on your pump harness to a bigger female blade type than stock. I am running a 357 Cleveland 11:1 compression with a 750 Carter AFB and it keeps up fine.
Here are the specs:
Maximum Free Flow Rate (gph):50
Maximum Pressure Range (psi):8
Minimum Free Flow Rate (gph):50
Minimum Pressure Range (psi):
5
