i put in my 4.30 gears in the 94 many think 4.10's are to big but my car came with 3.27 gears factory so i dont think its a huge jump...definitly woke the car up but i am thinking of looking for some 4.56 gears the car can definitly handle a bigger gear then then 4.30's i have now... but im happy i am also super close to the nitrous being done :nice: im excited to see what it will run and how long it will stay together... because its getting close to my "other" motor being done...sooo im also excited for that decided to go carbed on the engine build however instead of f.i. like i originally wanted to go with..

I have 4.30's as well, I switched from 3.73's. They're awesome and work great with my car and combo. Highway cruising is a breeze at 2500-2700 :) 1st gear isn't useless either. Gear the car for the combination, sounds like youre building something nice.

thats exactly what i noticed too around 2400 or 2500 cruising... first gear is powerful ..(im a auto guy remember) and from a dead stop if i mash the gas it cooks the 18's :D im a happy camper it looks like i wont be able to get to the track until the earliest next weekend and im not totally sure how thats going to work out for me lol i think i have to work

Congrats, it should do well at the track:nice:

Reference with T5 transmission/stock tire size/16in. wheel, in 5th gear cruising rpm at 70mph (Interstate Speed):

2.73:1 - 1696 RPM
3.08:1 - 1914 RPM
3.27:1 - 2032 RPM
3.55:1 - 2206 RPM
3.73:1 - 2318 RPM
3.90:1 - 2423 RPM
4.10:1 - 2548 RPM
4.30:1 - 2672 RPM
4.56:1 - 2834 RPM

My 3.73's tach at 2400, friends 4.10's were pushing 2600...so 4.30's...

I have 4:30's in my 02. I am a fan of them lol. :nice:

yeah i heard 4.30's and 4.6L engines go very well together...and if i do step up to a 4.56 i will save this gear for the womans stang...she has been hounding me for a 99+ stang and all my crap is very close to being paid off sooo i think i will be getting her what she wants soon...she should be happy

i am very happy for the 50 bucks it cost me to get this gear :D no noises or anything it was ran down the track 3 times and the guy snapped his axel and goofed up some crap and decided to get a 9" ....hello 4.30 gears they look great no marks or anything on them on super small nick of the side but i have no complaints
