link to the videos? it's good to see them stand up for what is right, but unlike the civil rights protests in the 60's, Iran's government is never going to concede defeat. they will kill protesters without thinking twice.

Doesn't shock me to hear this. Iran is so corrupted anyhow. The news should focus on more important things.

what is more important than the civil unrest in an enemy country that is in our favor? it may not be the most important thing, but it sure is up there.

You know the UN will do nothing and Obama will do nothing, because citizens standing up to their established goverment is considered rouge activity and terrorisim.

Now is the time, Iran's goverment is bleeding, stick them hard and sharp and don't stop. Maby the people of N.Korea will be inspired after that, do the same there, then wait until others such as Chavez has problems.... but you know it won't happen, Obama is trying to make relations with these people.... because he is one of them. maby after that, we'll start to stand up against our oppressers.

Yeah, you're right! All this Iranian coverage is keeping me from knowing what Paris Hilton is up to.

I hope these protests lead to some positive change in Iran but I doubt they will. I'm not exactly sure what people are expecting Obama or the UN to do. I'm not sure what they could do to help out.

I was actually hoping for a britney spears update.

I know what our government could do to help, since we're pulling out of Iraq, we can just drive over to Iraq. I'm sick of helping other countries, I much rather be helping out our own.

Wow 1979 all over again. This is the exact same ignitor that took the Shah out of power. Shah's men shot a whole bunch of protestors which lead to a huge shift in support for the Ayatollah.

The best thing we can do is to do nothing but watch.

Could say it's the only thing we can do.

    Agreed,
because odds are that as soon as the U.N. (read U.S.) gets involved, the Iranian Clerics will possibly use that as a reason to declair Jihad on Americans.

Not like Iran is exactly making the war in Iraq any better for us. A lot of American lives have been lost because of that country.

    **** Iran.

You cannot post a thread about world events and foriegn relations and not expect it to somehow involve our government as well.

Iran's leaders already claim that all the trouble is instigated by the U.S. and U.K.

no need to add some legitimacy to their claims. revolutions must come from within.

most democrats and republicans agree on this.

what do you mean by **** Iran? do u think it is the people who have given us a rough time in the past? no its there government there dictators. what are there citizens trying to do? there taking a stand against that very government. so no i don't say **** Iran.

but u also gotta see it like this Iran is not your typical middle east country there citizens are educated, there women actually have some rights, more then 50 percent of there population is under 30 year old. The way they got these rights is by the revolution in 1979 so there not a country that just lays over and gives up.

at the end of the day it is still human life that is being lost and our lives are not anymore important then theres.
