I believe you can have the bottle in a car aslong as the valve is shut. I don't understand why people have this hate on for nitrous when so many other cars have either a turbo or S/C and that is just a power adder like nitrous.
No sir, its not street legal, but if the bottle's in the trunk, i don't really see how a LEO could really see much or even know unless you purge when he walks up to your window
they dont even pop the hood here in TX during your inspection
you can conceal the nitrous lines pretty well under the hood if you're that worried about it. Most states allow you to have nitrous on the street as long as the bottle isnt connected to the lines. If the bottle is in the trunk, no LEO is going to see it
But no, its not legal to spray on the street. Whos going to know though?
the kit must have a CARB EO number to be legal in CA. also the bottle must be completely disconnected when on the street. if you have a remote opener, it must be set to closed and must not be within reach of the driver.
Just move to FL. They dont give a crap about anything. NO2, no problem. Open headers, no problem.
But the local hiway patrol guys get work done at the same shop I get tuned at.
So it sounds like alot depends on where you are. You guys in CA have it tough. You guys in FL have it great. I would settle for in between. Anyone from CT.
