Is the True Blue a rare color???

What are the production numbers for the True Blue mustangs? I know I haven't seen very many of them, but I didn't know they were limited production

They're not limited. The color was used on approximately 15,000 Mustangs per year from 2001-2003 and continues to be used on 2004 Escapes, Explorers, Expeditions, and F-150s, though Escape will drop True Blue in 2005.

Someone suggested that a True Blue Registry be started. I don't remember who, but I agreed to do the web site for it. Since the Registry formed on StangNet, I asked Mike Raburn to create a forum for us.

It seems to be a rare color compared to the production numbers of the other colors (except yellow), so I guess that give us an excuse How do we register by the way?

I rarely see any True Blue Mustangs, however I have seen a handful of V6s, GT coupes & a convertible or two. However, True Blue is most rare on the 2001 Cobra and 2001 Bullitt. For example, there were only 316 True Blue SVT Cobra coupes sold, there were no SVT Cobras in 2002 and True Blue was not picked up for the 2003 Cobra production as Sonic became the blue hue offered. Bullitt was a one year only production run and the Mach 1 blue is quite different.

When I test drove my Cobra for the first time, the dealership had one other True Blue Cobra besides mine. After leaving the lot, I have yet to see another True Blue Cobra coupe on the road in over two years.

I've seen a few 6's (like mine) and a couple of gt's but never a Cobra, is your paint code L2 also?

There's a sight on the net, cobra production numbers, that says there were 316 coupes and 292 convertable true blue cobras made in 2001.
True blue cobras were only made in 2001. So they are rather rare.

I have a 2001 Saleen S-281sc speedster that is true blue and it is 1 of 1 because of the options I have, but I remember Liz saying that there were only like 3 true blue speedsters made in 2001.
