How many miles should you put on it before you really get on it? Or can you just stomp on it from the start without hurting anything?

The Mustang Owner's Manual just says not to keep the engine at a constant speed for too long at a time, but other than that you're good to go..\
BTW, the SVT owner's manual doesn't address break in...

I would say avoid the WOT blasts to redline as your driving off the lot. :D A good course of action would be take it easy for the first 500 to 1K miles, change the oil then go nuts. Good luck.

I'd wouldn't be bouncing it off the limiter for the first 750 miles and a couple oil changes. Then again, it is underwarranty if anything were to go worng. Have Fun.

About 15 minutes after taking delivery of my 03, I had it up to 150+ mph.

I left black marks on the pavement at the first stop light from the dealership :D

Then ive taken it fairly easy since then, only gassing it a few times...once I hit 1000 miles or so, i'll have the oil changed and put the new mods on :p
