is there a way to find out the wattage of my amp?

    my profiel clarus CL640 is "supposedly" putting out 225x2@4. thats BS, because i ahd to max out my gain and turn up the bass boost jstu to get my subs to move. is there a way i can find out how many watts its putting out?

    Is it possible that you wired the subs to a higher load than 4 ohms?

    You can have it bench tested with either an inductive or reactive load. I will GUARANTEE the amp is puttin out nowhere near the power it states. Also, check for phasing problems as well.

    and no, theyr each 4 ohm subs wired independently to each channel.

    It could cost money. Take a trip to your local stereo shop and ask around. They may be able to help you.
