Ok, I went to the most refered drivetrain shop in my city and got a price quote for rearend work. Since I told him that eventually I will be adding a set of drag radials or slicks to my car for trips to the track he recomended that I upgrade to the 31 spline axles and they will guarantee my rearend not to break even with slicks. He quoted me new 4.30 motive gears, new 31 spline LSD, 31 spline axles, new seals, bearings, shims, and synthetic gear lube with labor for $1200 is this a little steep or a good price? Should I upgrade to the 31 spline while Im at it?

gears alone are about $150 and install about 200 to 400 dependant on the shop. Look up the cost of the axles and the rest to get an idea of what the costs are, but a warranty is always a bonus
