I've been searching and haven't had much luck finding a 2.3t and t-5. One person has the tranny and motor (minus turbo) and he originally wanted $500 but came down to $400. Motor has 130k on it. Pan gasket leaked but supposidly changed since it has been pulled. "i know its missing the little elbo that screws into the block, for oil return for the turbo." "and it will also need new studs on the exhaust manifold, one is broken, and i think another is bent" Sound ok? I know its not a great deal but I'm getting on the desperate side.
Ehh, I dunno...$400 is kinda steep if it has no turbo, even if it does come with a transmission. Offer him $300 and see what he says.
Thats way too much for a motor with no turbo. I was able to get mine for $150 and that was with a tranny and all the stuff to drop the motor in.
Honestly, if you've had a hard time finding one, it doesn't sound all that bad. Going rate for a T5 is ~150 bux which leaves the motor at 250.
